ABOUT THE STUDY GROUP
BOMA Orange County is pleased to announce the formation of a LEED AP O+M Study Group for Existing Buildings Operations & Maintenance. The Study Group is committed to learning the material, and passing the LEED AP O+M exam.
In order to obtain a LEED Accredited Professional (AP) O+M credential you must either:
- First Obtain the Green Associate credential, or
- Take both the Green Associate and AP exams at the same time.
If you did not previously attend the 2010 BOMA Orange County Green Associate Study Group, take a technical review/workshop/test-prep-course or previously obtain your Green Associate credential, the first session of the study group will be a review for the Green Associate exam.
Eligibility: In order to be eligible to take the LEED AP O+M exam, USGBC/GBCI requires you have participated in a LEED project within the last three (3) years.

Reading Assignments
- August 4: This session will review the Green Associate exam material, including the LEED Core Concepts Guide. Upon registration for the study group, you will be emailed a link for the LEED Green Associate Candidate Handbook (review of the ‘Primary’ and ‘Ancillary’ References is recommended). While it is recommended but not required, you can purchase the LEED Core Concepts Guide or the LEED Green Associate Study Guide independently. Both guides are available for purchase as one book at a discounted rate. Visit www.usgbc.org for details.
- August 18: The first reading assignment is the Introduction, Sustainable Sites and the Glossary.
REQUIREMENTS FOR LEED AP STUDY GROUP:
· Interested parties must be a member of BOMA Orange County. Individuals who are applying for Principal Membership and have submitted their application with payment are eligible to participate in this study group.
· Space is limited to 20 people – You must have registered with the BOMA Orange County office for this group no later than July 30, 2010.
· There is no fee for this study group, but this is a serious study group committed to learning the material and passing the AP test.
· Be Punctual – there will be no repetition of material for late or absent members.
· Members must purchase, and have in their possession, the LEED Reference Guide for Existing Buildings Operations & Maintenance, prior to August 18, 2010. Reading assignments will be given at the end of each meeting, the duration of which will vary according to the material.
· Once candidates have registered for the group, they will be sent a confirmation of registration with links to the LEED Green Associate Candidate Handbook and the LEED AP Operations + Maintenance Handbook.
· A formal curriculum will be provided upon registration.
· Lunch: Please feel free to bring lunch to the meetings.
· There is NO guarantee participants will pass the LEED AP O+M exam.
