Keeping up with changing regulations can be overwhelming. Yet much of this legislation will affect our daily lives and the way we do business in crucial ways. Join us as Richard Varenchik from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) discusses the in’s and out’s of AB 32, and answers your questions. During this roundtable we will cover the following topics:
- What you need to know about AB 32
- How to increase your energy and lighting efficiency to lower energy costs
- Decreasing your water and energy usage to comply with AB 32
This roundtable discussion is limited to 20 attendees.
ABOUT THE MODERATOR
Richard Varenchik began work at the California Air Resources Board in 1996 and has worked in the ARB’s Communications Office and Heavy Duty Diesel Branch. In late 2006 he became the second full-time employee working in the ARB’s new Office of Climate Change. He handles most of the Air Resources Board’s Climate Change outreach in Southern California.
He graduated from Humboldt State University in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in history. After college, he spent 17 years as a newspaper reporter, photographer and a magazine writer. He left journalism and worked for the California State Legislature from 1987 to 1989 and then moved to a public outreach position with the California Department of Toxic Substances Control.
