Awards Dinner & Holiday Celebration Committee
Mission:  To create an awards event to showcase excellence in building operations and management and to recognize the contributions and outstanding efforts of BOMA Orange County members.

Allied Members Committee
Mission:  Our mission is to develop programs for additional social networking opportunities and to assist Associate/Professional Members with concerns and issues to get the full benefit of their membership.
Charges:  * Create events that allow members to network in an informal atmosphere * Promote participation and sponsorship for event (s) * Meet with Associate and Professional Members on a regular basis to address their needs

Communications Committee
Mission:  To ensure all BOMA Orange County information is current, accessible and useful to its members and the commercial real estate industry.
Charges:  Coordinates the timely dissemination of information to BOMA members and/or media on issues of importance and interest. Responsible for the membership e-newsletter, the BOMAlert!, which covers real estate industry news, activity updates and news releases. This committee is also responsible for the annual BOMA Orange County Membership Directory and Annual TOBY Awards supplement in the Orange County Business Journal.

Education Committee
Mission:  To continually raise the level and quality of professionalism within the industry and profession by providing pertinent, quality and useful educational information on the industry, trends, best practices and designations, to members and the community.
Charges:  Coordinates all educational events and seminars, including RPA, FMA and SMA/SMT courses. This committee is also responsible for the solicitation and award of the Carol Powell Memorial Scholarship.

Golf Committee
Mission:  To host a charity golf tournament that benefits BOMA Orange County, its members and the local community.
Charges:  Coordinates all activities for golf tournaments, including format, venue, promotion, golf donations and sponsorships.

Government Affairs Committee
Mission:  To monitor, positively affect and communicate to our members all regulatory and legislative actions that could impact members through local, state and federal government.
Charges:  Works in conjunction with BOMA International and BOMA California. Responsible for monitoring legislative and regulatory issues that affect BOMA OC members, and reports to local BOMA membership on issues that are pertinent to our industry through the BOMAlert! Advocacy Edition.

Membership Committee
Mission:  To develop and implement programs to retain and recruit quality members, while communicating all the benefits available through membership

Sponsorship Committee
Mission:  To ensure members have valuable and meaningful partnership and sponsorship opportunities throughout all networking, educational, charitable and social events.
Charges:  Responsibilities include marketing of website and its respective sponsorship and, when needed marketing of special events (including golf tournaments, bowling, TOBY awards) and their respective sponsorships. This committee is also in charge of developing an annual sponsorship package for its members.

TOBY Awards Committee
Mission:  To recognize excellence in building management, operational efficiency, tenant retention, emergency planning and community impact in buildings in Orange County.
Charges:  Coordinates TOBY Program, aides TOBY Awards entrants, judges entrants and maintains history of TOBY winners.

University Outreach Committee
Mission:  To develop and implement programs to educate university students and individuals new to the real estate industry about the vast career opportunities available within the industry, while allowing BOMA Orange County to grow its membership and mentor these members as their careers develop.
Charges:  Establish a mutually beneficial relationship with local universities and members’ companies in the region to establish integration of programs, events and overall membership; Plan and promote networking sessions that will afford new individuals to develop mentors and a peer group who can assist in development of careers; Facilitate access to key executives in the industry to serve as mentors and/or coaches; Plan and promote educational sessions that provide relevant training on a variety of real estate disciplines; Coordinate speaker exchanges for local universities; Create and implement an internship program with top member real estate companies
